As you may be aware a few of us are planning a trip to France at the end of  August. As I received a reasonable response I thought it best to make the  plans "public" so anyone can join us.

Mon 25th August is a bank holiday, so it seems a good idea to work this in  somewhere. This gives us an extra day, working on the assumption we can get 2  days off work, leaving Friday 22nd and returning Tuesday 26th. Our (very)  rough schedule is as follows:

Notes

1

Please make sure you read the list of “Essentials” (see below)

2

It may get a bit chilly in the mountains, make sure you have adequate clothing.

3

Check with your insurance that you’re OK for Europe

4

We should all try and get together at some point before we go. Maybe a Sunday afternoon and I can lay on a BBQ ??

5

Please comment on anything, as I’m new at this!

Proposed overnight stays:

Formule 1 hotels are similar to a Travelodge (so I am told), cheap, clean and basic. Dan has used them before.  The prices are for the room (I think) so it’ll be even cheaper.  The only problem is that they are on main roads, and although the spirit of the tour is to stay on the twisties where possible, I’m sure we’ll be happy to do some dual carriageway if a shower and food beacons.
